Choir and exhibition – December 8, 2024
On December 8, 2024, the Berrye Fortress hosted the choristers of the Ut en Piste troupe and an exhibition of works by the Faure family.
The Ut en Piste choir was founded in Moncontour in 2004, under the drive and musical direction of Fanny Rambeau. Whether strolling or performing on stage, the “Ut en Piste” troupe invites everyone to join them on a journey around the world, where music blends with the joy of meeting and exchanging.
At the heart of the great Aula, the troupe explored songs from around the world during a one-hour concert.

Following their performance, the Faure family exhibited their works under the theme of “the artistic metamorphosis of a French family” in the Gallery of Paintings.
Michel, the father, was born in Paris a year before the Great Depression of 1929. A graduate of the ENSAD (National School of Decorative Arts), he expressed his artistic talent at a young age through oil paintings, watercolors, and Chinese ink drawings.
Then came retirement. The chosen location was La Boissandière in Anjou, a few kilometers from the Berrye Fortress, where he resumed his artistic activities in a different way, focusing more on sculpture and op art.
Francis, the son, was born in Paris in 1951. A student at the Beaux-arts of Paris, his impatience led him to begin his artistic career before finishing his academic training, which he disliked for its conformity.
With a mother also a graduate of ENSAD, a sister who is an illustrator, a brother who is an architect, an aunt who is a ceramic artist, and a great-grandmother specializing in porcelain painting, this family environment has always promoted artistic expression as a vital necessity of life.
The afternoon was concluded with a tasting of wines from the estate.
